Biography

Hello, I'm Neal Mottesheard a student at Indiana State University. I have been a fan of demolition derbies since I attended my first derby at the Vigo County Fair Grounds when I was 6 years old. Ever since that time I have wanted to build and race demolition derby cars. When I turned 18 I built my first derby car the 77' Ford Ltd wagon that is pictured on this site. I got some help from a local junk yard AAA Auto Salvage, which is still my major sponsor. We built it the best we knew how and it ran very well, I made it to the main but the heat was cut short due to a fight... just another derby in Terre Haute. The next year I ran across two reasonably clean Buick Electra's a 1970 post car and a 1973 hard top. The 73' I ran in Terre Haute and in Sullivan and took quite a beating but I leared a lot and had a lot of fun. The 70' this is the car that I am currently running and already ran at Terre Haute where it won the consi, and at Clay County, mechanical problems took me out at both derbies (big blocks make terrible demolition derby motors) the car is currently awaiting a sbc. Every derby I learn a little more and with the help of all of my IDDA friends we keep getting better and better. Drop me a E-Mail , or be sure to sign my guest book...
